  1. Complete and submit the proposal form.
  2. Once accepted, you'll receive a confirmation email and a time slot for your workshop. 
  3. Confirm your time slot.
  4. A workshop flyer will be emailed to you. 
  5. Begin marketing your class.
  6. Further instructions will be emailed to you within 7 days of your workshop.

​​What you can teach:
Can you teach art, poetry, or journaling how-to through demonstrations, or just want to inspire with your story? Think outside the box. As long as you give the audience 3 to 5 bullet points to learn, you can teach as an IGI instructor.


No prior experience necessary.

If you have never taught before, use the elements from the proposal form to develop your workshop. When you're ready to get on the calendar, complete the form and submit. Once your workshop is accepted, you'll receive a confirmation email with date, time, and instructions for preparing your class. Workshops are held weeknights beginning at 5 pm eastern/8 pm pacific time via the IGI live webinar platform.

Ready to teach?

Teaching a workshop via the IGI global webinar platform is easy. We give you available dates, and you set the parameters. This is your workshop, we give you the platform. Submit a workshop proposal soon to get on the calendar before it fills up.


Ready to share your knowledge and experience? Complete and submit the IGI Workshop Proposal form. No prior teaching experience is required.

Who can teach:

The IGI motto is: Live, learn, teach. This means that anyone who has ever had a desire to teach what they’ve lived through and learned from can lead a workshop. Anyone who has ever taught a workshop and dreamed of having it reach more people can use the IGI global webinar platform too. Every instructor earns a free listing in the IGI Resource Guide. QUESTION:  Is the webinar live?
ANSWER:  Yes.


QUESTION: How will I enter the webinar?
ANSWER: You'll receive instructions for how to enter your webinar via your desktop, laptop, mobile phone or tablet. It is quite easy and we'll be there to walk you through it.

QUESTION: Will I need a webcam?
ANSWER: Yes. The workshop will be live, so a good quality webcam and mic are essential. Most laptops and mobile devices come equipped with internal webcams. If using a desktop computer, you’ll need a webcam that plugs in as a USB, preferably one with a good mic. You can find a good quality one that’s affordable on Amazon.

QUESTION: Is it via Skype?
ANSWER: No, but students will see, hear, and interact with you like they would on Skype.

QUESTION: Will IGI admins be in the live workshop?
ANSWER: Yes. An IGI admin will be with you to operate technical aspects of the live webinar and help ensure things runs smoothly.

QUESTION: How do I upload my material such as a PowerPoint or video?
ANSWER: If your PowerPoint presentation is ready now, you can upload it via the link in the proposal form. If not, you can send materials to learn@internationalgriefinstitute.com one week prior. We’ll upload it and have it waiting for when you enter the classroom.

QUESTION: When will I be paid?
ANSWER: Within 30 business days after workshop completion. Instructors earn 65% of student fees. IGI keeps 35% to pay for administration costs.

QUESTION: If IGI resells my workshop in video format, will I be paid?
ANSWER: Yes. Instructors earn 65% from all workshop video sales.

QUESTION: Can I teach a free workshop?
ANSWER: Yes. Instructors can teach up to one free workshop per year unless approved otherwise by IGI administration.

QUESTION: Why am I responsible for marketing?
ANSWER: This is your workshop and you set all the parameters. IGI offers the platform, you bring the students.

QUESTION: Will IGI help market?
ANSWER: Yes. IGI will post the workshop via websites, social media, email newsletters, etc.

QUESTION: Can I teach the same workshop twice?
ANSWER: Yes. There is no limit to the number of times you can offer a workshop, though each workshop is limited to once monthly and space availability (first come, first serve) unless approved by IGI administration.

QUESTION: Can I teach more than one type of workshop?
ANSWER: Yes. You can teach as many different workshops as you like but must submit a separate proposal for each.

QUESTION: What is my workshop is cancelled due to lack of enrollment?
ANSWER: You're welcome to offer your workshop again at any time.

QUESTION: If I have more questions, who do I contact?
